When Steve Jobs announced the first iPhone in 2007, accelerating the smartphone revolution, the game changing device shipped with just a small set of Apple-produced apps. There was no software development kit (SDK) for third parties to develop apps yet and obviously no app store too.
Apache Airflow® 3.0, the most anticipated Airflow release yet, officially launched this April. As the de facto standard for data orchestration, Airflow is trusted by over 77,000 organizations to power everything from advanced analytics to production AI and MLOps. With the 3.0 release, the top-requested features from the community were delivered, including a revamped UI for easier navigation, stronger security, and greater flexibility to run tasks anywhere at any time.
Strategy is never more important than people. I imagine there are a lot of things that happen in the day-to-day course of running one of the world's largest tech companies that most of us would consider stressful. Actually, most of us can't imagine at all the complexity of a company at that scale.
A team of researchers at Northwestern University say they have developed the first artificial intelligence program that has built a robot. They say what the robot can do isn't the main point, but it's what this breakthrough could mean for the future of AI. Charlie De Mar has details.

This past October, Dolphin turned 20 years old since its initial release to the public as an experimental GameCube emulator. It's been a long ride, with twists and turns. I don't know if anyone back in 2003 expected Dolphin not only to still be under active development 20 years later, but to also support the GameCube's successor in the Wii.
The amazing Rene Stange added USB Gadget (i.e. device) support to the Circle bare metal Raspberry Pi environment a while ago so I've now incorporated that into MiniDexed. This allows MiniDexed to be used as a USB device - i.e.
Cardano, a leading blockchain platform, has unveiled Girolamo, its first internet-generative chatbot, signaling a major advancement in the intersection of
In Airflow, DAGs (your data pipelines) support nearly every use case. As these workflows grow in complexity and scale, efficiently identifying and resolving issues becomes a critical skill for every data engineer. This is a comprehensive guide with best practices and examples to debugging Airflow DAGs. You’ll learn how to: Create a standardized process for debugging to quickly diagnose errors in your DAGs Identify common issues with DAGs, tasks, and connections Distinguish between Airflow-relate
With all the shakeup surrounding OpenAI over the past week, many grew concerned about the widespread impact this could have on the medical field, particularly with respect to innovations like Augmented Reality for surgical procedures.

There’s a lot of noise surrounding the ability of AI agents to connect to your tools, systems and data. But building an AI application into a reliable, secure workflow agent isn’t as simple as plugging in an API. As an engineering leader, it can be challenging to make sense of this evolving landscape, but agent tooling provides such high value that it’s critical we figure out how to move forward.
Software is eating the world. … All of the technology required to transform industries through software finally works and can be widely delivered at global scale. … Software programming tools and Internet-based services make it easy to launch new global software-powered start-ups in many industries—without the need to invest in new infrastructure and train new employees. … With lower start-up costs and a vastly expanded market for online services, the result is a global economy that for the firs

Documents are the backbone of enterprise operations, but they are also a common source of inefficiency. From buried insights to manual handoffs, document-based workflows can quietly stall decision-making and drain resources. For large, complex organizations, legacy systems and siloed processes create friction that AI is uniquely positioned to resolve.
