Oceaners, we are back with updates — this time to announce winners for Predict-ETH Round 2 data challenge!

Launched in November 2022, contestants of Predict-ETH data challenge were asked to use ocean.py library to create, publish and share their predictions in a fully decentralized manner.

This challenge aimed to activate relevant communities of Web3-native data scientists and guide them towards potential use cases such as community-owned algorithms via data NFTs and DeFi protocol design.

Accurately predicting ETH price for 12 hours into the future was not a leisurely walk in the park, but now that this second edition has officially concluded and we are proud to announce the top 3 winners!

A panel of evaluators from Ocean independently reviewed all the submissions and offered the award for 1st place ($2,500) to Andrey Bessalov. The second prize ($1,500) was awarded to Andreaa Toma and the third prize ($1,000) was conferred upon John Wang.

All submissions can be publicly accessed here.

Crypto price prediction can be an interesting and fun task, and it can produce more and more results when better features are implemented into the models. Congratulations to all the winners and kudos to all the participants for the entries — We appreciate your submissions and look forward to seeing many more entries in 2023.
