It’s time to explore the top five repos for the week of October 16th. Some of these repos promise to enhance your application building speeds, while others look to help users better organize their files across devices both offline, and on the cloud. With that said, let’s take a look at this week’s repos.

Spacedrive

This repo is an open-source cross-platform file manager. It is powered by a virtual distributed filesystem (VDFS) written using Rust. What makes Spacedrive interesting is that it will organize files across many devices in one place; including cloud services to offline hard drives. Spacedrive combines the storage capacity and processing power of your devices into one personal distributed cloud, that is both secure and intuitive to use.

Prompt flow

Prompt flow is a suite of development tools designed to streamline the end-to-end development cycle of LLM-based AI applications. From ideation, prototyping, testing, and evaluation to production deployment and monitoring, the goal of promptflow is to make prompt engineering much easier so teams can focus on building LLM apps with production quality.

GPT-Pilot

GPT Pilot promises to allow developers to build apps twenty times faster. Yes, you read that correctly. According to the repo, a user can just specify what kind of app they want to build. Then, GPT Pilot asks some clarifying questions. After that, it creates the product and technical requirements, sets up the environment, and starts coding the app step by step, like in real life, while you oversee the development process

To ensure that you get what you’re looking for, GPT-Pilot will ask the user to review each task it finishes or to help when it gets stuck.

Llava

Visual instruction tuning towards large language and vision models with GPT-4 level capabilities. Llava is a visual instruction tuning framework that fine-tunes large language and vision models on specific visual instructions. It’s easy to use and effective in a variety of tasks, including object detection, image captioning, and visual question answering.

AutoGen

AutoGen is a framework that enables the development of LLM applications using multiple agents that can converse with each other to solve tasks. AutoGen agents are customizable, conversable, and seamlessly allow human participation. They can operate in various modes that employ combinations of LLMs, human inputs, and tools.

Conclusion

What a week, we saw one repo return from last week while the rest of the repos were new. The best part is that these are only a few of the many interesting and innovative projects that are being developed on GitHub.
